The concept behind The Scape Collection is to convey a single idea through different perspectives.
We have created an intriguing collection of carpet tiles that work as one, or in harmony with each other. Our source of inspiration is our wonderful native treescapes and dramatic rockscapes, rich in pattern and texture and beautifully interpreted in these stunning new carpet tiles.
Imagination is infinite.
Econyl regenerated nylon is made from waste such as fishing nets from the oceans and aquaculture, fabric scraps from mills and carpets destined for landfill, it’s infinitely recyclable and can unleash infinite possibilities for makers, creators and consumers.
It’s exactly the same as virgin nylon and can be recycled, recreated and remoulded infinitely. That means you create new products and buy new products without ever having to use new resources.
The Econyl Regeneration System starts with rescuing from landfills and oceans all over the world. That waste is then sorted and cleaned to recover all of the nylon possible. Through a radical regeneration and purification process, the nylon waste is recycled right back to its original purity. That means Econyl is exactly the same as virgin nylon.
Econyl regenerated nylon is processed into carpet yarn and textile yarn for the fashion and interior industries. Carpet brands like us use Econyl to create brand new products. And that nylon has the potential to be recycled infinitely, without ever losing its quality. The goal is that once all products containing Econyl are no longer useful to customers, they can go back into step one of the Regeneration System.
Paying homage to biophilic design
Biophilic design seeks to connect our inherent need to affiliate with nature in the modern built environment and focuses on those aspects of nature that, over evolutionary time, have contributed to our health and wellbeing. The Scape Collection is designed to mimic key elements in nature, helping to connect workspaces to our natural surroundings and thereby contribute to enhanced health and productivity.
The Scape Collection features solution dyed nylon, whereby the pigment is added to the molten polymer prior to extrusion of the fibre, meaning it is coloured to the core. Think carrot as opposed to radish! That means more consistent colour within a batch, from batch to batch and greater resistance to fading and discolouration in use.
Say hello to the carpet of the future: The Scape Collection is made on state-of-the-art tufting equipment that controls the exact placement and height of every tuft, producing complex patterns and textures without sacrificing yarn to the back of the carpet, as is the case with older technologies. This means clearer, crisper patterns and better product durability using lower pile weights.
Treescape draws it’s inspiration from beautiful native woodlands.
Each tree species is unique; it’s scale, form and textures subtly distinct from it’s peers. Treescape comprises three patterns, Alder, Hazel and Birch, each representing a different textural element from our native treescape, created on our state-of-the-art carpet manufacturing equipment.
The Rockscape collection of three unique patterns draws it’s inspiration from rugged mountain landscapes.
Strong, solid and beguilingly beautiful, rock is reimagined in these state-of-the-art carpets. The three patterns, Creole, Kota and Parian perfectly capture the complexities of the rockscape, whether in simple, subtle combinations of warm whites and greys, or shot through with veins of bold colour and embossed with organic texture.
