One of our core environmental objectives is to engineer more sustainable products; to achieve this we have been very pro-active in sourcing high quality raw materials containing recycled content, and engineering our carpet constructions to last longer. The re-engineering of Assertion 1 & 2, and of Elements, using Encore SD Ultima solution dyed nylon, manufactured by J&J and containing a minimum 25% recycled nylon content, represents a massive step towards more sustainable product.
In 2005 43% of all the carpet tiles we sold were manufactured from Encore and our aim in 2006 is to increase that percentage to over 45%. By the end of 2006 we anticipate that over 18% of all the nylon fibre used in our products will be recycled. All these products are designed to last longer and carry our Lifetime Wear Warranty, Colourfastness Warranty and Stain Removal Warranty.
