One of our major challenges has been to implement environmental improvements at our manufacturing facility in Scotland. Throughout the past two years we have been working hard to educate and motivate the team and to implement change throughout the operation and we are proud of the progress that has been made. Top of the agenda has been improvements in waste management and our success has been significant.
In 2005 virtually none of our packing waste was recycled. In 2006, 38 tons of waste cardboard and plastic were recycled and 88 tons of backing plant washings were treated. With good momentum established we are confident of continual improvements in this area.
