6. Continued progress towards more sustainable products

In 2006 we have concentrated on increasing the amount of recycled and solution dyed raw materials we use in our products. To do this we have been busy engineering and launching new products made from Encore SD Ultima nylon, which contains a minimum 25% recycled nylon content. In 2006...

• over 19% of all the fibre we used was recycled, an increase of 1.38% over the previous year
• 46% of all the tiles we produced used Encore, representing a 3% increase on the 2005 figures
• 67% of all the tiles we produced used solution dyed nylon, representing a 6% increase on the previous year

We are pleased with this progress and have plans for more significant improvements in 2007, including more products made from Encore and new, environmentally-friendly backings.
