It's easy to talk the talk about environmental issues, harder to take responsibility, make tough decisions and take action by actually doing something. Our decision to create an environmentally sustainable business is a genuine choice and one we embrace wholeheartedly. So everyting we do will be open to question, subject to scrutiny and as transparent as we can make it.
So what do we mean by "environmental sustainability"? It's about finding ways to meet our current needs without threatening the future of generations to come. Mankind's chronic disregard for the earth's natural balance will ultimately result in local environments that can no longer sustain life. That means we must only use nature's resources at a rate which they can be replenished naturally. And, it requires us to minimise, halt and ultimately reverse the environmental degradation caused by human activity.
We've created a policy which applies to every area of our business. Ours is a common sense approach that isn't about just saying the right words, it's about the action we take today, next week and all the other weeks to come.
Our objectives are split into four categories: Eliminate Waste, Eliminate Harmful Emissions, Minimise Consumption and Educate & Motivate. The challenges we face and our progress toward environmental sustainability are charted on this website.
