Our efforts to make our products less reliant on non-renewable resources has resulted in a positive break-through with the introduction of LiteLock precoat on our latest modular product, Abstraction. The key feature of the new compound is that it is applied at a much lower weight than traditional precoats, without performance being compromised. This means that not only does it require less raw material from unsustainable sources, but also requires less energy to produce, transport and apply.
The result is a 47% reduction in applied dry weight, a 60% reduction in filler content and a 60% increase in coverage per tonne of compound. Plans to roll-out the new compound across our 12th gauge scroll portfolio are now being implemented.
