A unique carpet tile collection that explores organic textures through a lens of neutral shades.
The Core Collection is a tightly focused compilation of ultra-usable stocked products that will appeal to specifiers across a variety of market sectors. At the heart of the collection lies the minimal elegance of Elements in six timeless greys. The enduring practicality of Balance is defined by slightly stronger patterning highlighted with flickering metallic accents. Finally there is Synergy, a stunning contemporary pattern that fuses organic shapes with a distressed linear motif.
Engineered to Perform
Every aspect of the construction of the Core Collection ranges is designed to enhance the performance of these carpets
Elements and Synergy are made from Antron® Lumena solution dyed type 6,6 nylon which has a tighter molecular structure that helps the carpet keep its shape and resist matting and crushing. The innovative hollow filament shape and soil resistance treatment better hide and release soil, making the carpet easier to clean. Finally a gauntlet of rigorous tests ensure any carpet bearing the Antron® brand name lives up to exacting performance standards. The result? Carpet made with Antron® fibre can look better – year after year after year.
ECONYL® is the fibre we use to make Balance. ECONYL® regenerated nylon is made from waste such as fishing nets from the oceans and aquaculture, fabric scraps from mills and carpets destined for landfill, it’s infinitely recyclable and can unleash infinite possibilities for makers, creators and consumers. It’s exactly the same as virgin nylon and can be recycled, recreated and remoulded infinitely. That means you create new products and buy new products without ever having to use new resources.
The regeneration system starts with rescuing from landfills and oceans all over the world. That waste is then sorted and cleaned to recover all of the nylon possible. Through a radical regeneration and purification process, the nylon waste is recycled right back to its original purity. That means ECONYL® is exactly the same as virgin nylon. Carpet brands like us use ECONYL® to create brand new products. And that nylon has the potential to be recycled infinitely, without ever losing its quality. The goal is that once all products containing ECONYL® are no longer useful to customers, they can go back into step one of the regeneration system.
Both Lumena and ECONYL® are solution dyed fibres, which means the colour is added to the molten pigment prior to extrusion: the fibre is therefore coloured to the core. Solution dyed fibre comes with major performance benefits: Greater colour consistency within a batch; easier to clean than topically dyed carpets and better resistance to fading in sunlight and when repeatedly cleaned.
Elements, Balance and Synergy are made on our unique Versatek tufting equipment at our manufacturing plant in Scotland. This equipment was specifically designed to make high performance tufted cloth for commercial carpet tiles. The inline needlebar is 12th gauge, that’s 12 stitches per inch across the width of the carpet which, in conjunction with a high stitch rate (the number of stitches down the length of the carpet) produces a very dense wear surface that is better able to resist crushing and matting even in the most rigorous commercial locations.
Our Versatek constructions also provide an environmental bonus as this technology lets us produce higher performing carpets using less fibre, so you don’t have to sacrifice sustainability for durability. The upshot is a collection of Class 33 Heavy Contract products that you can specify with confidence, knowing they will look great and last longer.
Elements lies at the heart of the Core Collection, a beautiful and uncomplicated carpet tile with a rich, organic texture. It has the flexibility to be used alone, or in combination with other colours and patterns.
Balance is a subtly patterned and textured carpet tile engineered for busy commercial spaces and made from Econyl® regenerated nylon. It combines neutral base shades with subtle metallic accents to produce an attractive, high performance commercial carpet.
Synergy is a striking contemporary pattern that merges organic shapes with a distressed linear motif. Whether laid ashlar or non-directional Synergy adds dynamism to a floorscape.
